Yroswell welcomes the Inner-High School Student Council to Roswell Park Cancer Instiute. 70 student leaders and their advisors from 12 Buffalo Public Schools are spending the day on RPCI's campus. We look forward to meeting with the Council this afternoon to discuss the many ways we can work together for a world without cancer. Stay tuned for pictures!
Right off the bat, 16-year-old Matthew McDermott knew where he wanted to do a science internship. “I was very interested in Roswell Park, because of the history my family has here,” says Matthew, a junior at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute (SJCI) in Buffalo.
A new school year means a new opportunity to host a Goin’ Bald for Bucks event! And it doesn’t stop at the classroom—organizations, clubs and individuals can participate too.
But what is Goin’ Bald for Bucks all about? Marla Schifano, a teacher at Lake Shore High School—where Goin’ Bald for Bucks was founded in 2002—shares her thoughts on the program’s impact and how your school or organization can get involved.
